Digital Marketing Manager (Freelance)
About the Job
We are looking for a passionate, ambitious and data-minded Freelance Performance Marketing Manager with an advertising agency or extensive paid marketing experience.
You’ll work closely with the team to execute performance marketing campaigns and optimise campaigns to drive growth of our client businesses. Your focus will be on building flawless paid ads, executing on media plans and communicating with our internal team.
On a day-to-day basis you'll be creating and optimising performance marketing campaigns across Google (Performance Max, Search and YouTube) and Meta (Facebook Ads). There is also potential to also use your account management expertise to build solid relationships with our clients, participating in clients meetings.
This is a Freelance position, 2-3 days a week. We are looking for a long term partner to support our growth.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing
- Understand and communicate digital landscape and trends
- Build Clear media plans and communicate with clients
Google Ads Execution
- Implement and optimise Performance Max campaigns e.g. Asset Groups, bid strategies,
- Implement search strategies and build ads with strong copywriting
- Advanced Search keyword planning and campaign builds focused on sales and conversions
- Build and optimise YouTube and Local store ads
- General Google Optimisations - Bid adjustments, keyword optimisations
Meta Ads Execution
- Build flawless conversion, awareness campaigns and build copy for ads
- Advanced execution of Meta ads across a variety of account structures and funnel methods
- Carry out optimisations, creative analysis and build copy for ads
Data Analysis & Audits
- Digest complex datasets to shape media plans, budget planning and strategy
- Use Analytics (GA4) to Spot trends, create bespoke reports and carry out audits
- Create informative and insightful reports and research through data analysis (Looker Studio, Meta/ Google)
- Support in building and maintenance of ads dashboards
Account Management
- Point of contact for our clients, providing insights, suggesting strategies, tests, taking notes and actions
Digital Marketing & E-commerce strategy
- Help build on-brand, clear and well formatted presentations e.g. Monthly reports, Strategy docs, One pagers, QBRs, media plans
Experience & Knowledge
- 3+ years of marketing and client services experience agency or e-commerce brand side
- Passion for paid advertising up-to-date knowledge on the latest trends and products in the industry
- In-depth knowledge of performance marketing execution with a focus on Google Ads and Meta Ads
- Proficiency of Google Search, and Performance Max strategy (e.g. testing broad vs. phrase match, and bid tests)
- Google Merchant Centre knowledge and Feed optimisation knowledge with feed managers
- Expertise of different Meta account structure methods and optimisations including Advantage plus and conversion campaigns funnels
- Meta Commerce Manager knowledge and feed optimisation
- Advanced understanding of attribution models, marketing technology and ad tracking
- Ability to comfortably manage a number of competing priorities in a high pressure environment
- Executional and strategic expertise in one of TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest or programmatic
- Experience working with e-commerce businesses at a range of sizes and budget levels
